Does this card support any Bluetooth headset for full duplex communication from
headset to PC (like calling by Skype and pc2phone software) , especially for
VOIP purposes?

This device bundled with the IVT or TOSHIBA stack.
These two software drivers both support the A2DP (high quality audio) and HSP (mono sound with microphone function) profiles.

The Toshiba stack provide 2 mode for user to pair the device.
One is the Express mode , it can show the profile for common-use to user.
Another one it the Custom mode, it can show the completely profile support to user.

For the headset which supports both A2DP and HSP profiles, the Express mode will just show the A2DP mode to the user , this mode doesn't support microphone function.

It is recommended to pair the device with the Custom mode, by this way , user will see 2 profile supports, if the users want to have microphone function with skype / MSN, they must select HSP mode.

While the user creates the connection, the PC will auto switch to the audio mode.

Questions Answers
Which ethernet cable do I use to connect the Bluetooth Access Point to the network? There are two RJ45 ports at the back of the Bluetooth Access Point, LAN and Uplink (port with a X sign). If you are connecting via a router, please use a standard RJ45 ethernet cable and plug into the LAN port. If you are connecting directly from the ethernet jack on the wall, then you should use a standard RJ45 ethernet cable and plug into the Uplink port (or a crossover RJ45 ethernet cable and plug into the LAN port).
Can you connect to the Bluetooth Access Point using a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone?

The access point supports PAN profile, which is not one of the profiles supported by the mobile phone. In the other words, you can't use the mobile phone on the access point.

I've installed the Bluetooth software on my computer system, but why can't I find the Bluetooth Access Point? Please make sure that your Bluetooth software supports the PAN profile. Please ask your USB/PCMCIA/CF Bluetooth dongle/card vendor for details.
What is the PIN code of the Bluetooth Access Point?

The PIN code (asked when connecting to the access point) is 1234.
But since the PIN request feature is disabled in the Billionton Bluetooth software, you won't be asked to type it.
However, if you try to connect to the Bluetooth Access Point with a non-Billionton BT software and if the "Secure Connection" feature is enabled in them, then you might be prompted with the PIN. This BT AP is set without a PIN code by default and the authentication feature for Network Access is turned off in our BT software (that is installed on the computer system). If the authentication feature is enabled in a 3rd party's software, it will always prompt for a PIN code, that doesn't exist. Please find out the brand of the BT software, if it's Widcomm then make sure to uncheck the "Secure Connection" option in (1) Advanced Configuration->Local Services tab->Network Access and
(2) Advanced Configuration->Client Applications tab->Network Access.
If it is grayed out, please download the file below by right click on it and use "save target as.." and follow the procedures below to disable it. Download this file

The process is a bit cumbersome.
(1) Uninstall Widcomm BTW
(2) Copy the entire Widcomm BTW S/W out from the CD to the hard drive.
(3) Replace the "CustomEn.ctm" file with the one attached
(4) Install Widcomm BTW S/W from the hard drive
(5) Now the secure connection setting should be disabled.

What are the steps of installing bluetooth CF card software?

(1) First, you have to remove all previously installed billionton bluetooth software
(2) Reboot system.
(3) Insert Billionton CF Bluetooth card, search and install the driver required in the Billionton bluetooth software folder
(4) While the Billionton cf bluetooth card is inserted in the PCMCIA slot, install the Billionton bluetooth software
(5) When the installation is complete, reboot the system with the CF card inserted in the PCMCIA slot (this is very important), wait a few seconds and the CF card should start working.

Since CF Bluetooth card is not a plug-n-play device, it is important to have the CF Bluetooth card inserted when you boot up the system.
If you unplug the CF Bluetooth card at any stage, the bluetooth support is terminated. You will have to reboot the system with the card inserted to enable bluetooth support again.

Questions about how to install the CF Bluetooth card onto a Dell Axim 5 PDA

The CF bluetooth card will work in Dell Axim 5 after registry changes. It might be a problem with the COM port assignment done by the PDA. We've noticed that Dell's Axim 5 is using COM7 for the CF slot, however, our BT software will assign COM5 instead.
